Why I love being a writer (and why you should too).

Many people think that writing is a profession for introverts and I can’t agree more. As a serious writer you want to cave in with your ideas and create wonderlands with your words. The characters become your friends and the power of playing ‘God' is addictive. These are just a couple of points which made me fall in love wit writing.

Here are some of the most important reasons why I love being a writer-

  1. I’m my own boss- This is of utmost importance for me. Nobody to run their orders over me. I’m myself responsible for my work. I create, evaluate and improve upon them.
  2. Original expression- My stories have an original expression of my thoughts and views. I can use freedom of speech and expression as per my beliefs and convenience without any prejudice.
  3. Power of creation- I get a chance to play God with my stories. When I see the finished product in my hand it fills my heart with utmost happiness.
  4. I love what I do- Finally! This is what we are striving for but very few of us are able to achieve. To be in love with our work. The stories, emotions, characters and my readers, they all are of utmost importance for me. Every bit of them makes me happy for being a writer.

These are some of the most important things which make me happy for being who am I am. A writer. I believe happiness has also been a result of the writing habits I have cultivated over time. I would love to get your views on it.
